Following suit from my post about fitness tips for computer users comes this list about ways to be good to your noggin. I take no credit for coming up with this list, but I wanted to share it :)

  5. Fast for a day - clean and detoxify (consult your Doctor beforehand)
  6. Exercise your mind - I'm doing "brain crunches"
  7. Practice Yoga or meditation - relieves stress and muscle tension
  8. Reduce sugar intake - probably a good idea to reduce caffeine too ;)
  9. Eat whole wheat - just plain good for you
  10. Eat a light meal at night - heavy meals at night lead to poor sleep
  11. Develop imagination - involve all your senses in the process for full effect
  12. Sex - Do I really need to say more?
  13. Control your temper - lower your starch intake, eat well, drink lots of water, practice Yoga

7 Fitness Tips for Computer Workers

I came across a site outlining some fitness tips for Web workers which I think are valid points for anyone who works in front a "happy magic box" all day.

The short and sweet:
  • Discipline - discipline and organization are keys to fitness and good health
  • Talk a walk everyday - fresh air is good for you, do this at least 3 times a week
  • Get the right chair - sitting all day in a crappy chair is just plain badness
  • Supercharge your brain - mental fitness is just as important as physical fitness
  • Don't forget the eyes - Take eye breaks from staring at your overabundance of work
  • 10 minutes of Yoga - Big breath in... stress flows out
  • Stop procrastinating! - Just do it already!
